Overview
Aim Assist is a Cronus Zen script for Overwatch 2 on PS4. It provides two oscillating right stick aim assist combos that switch automatically — L2_C activates on ADS alone, applying gentle oscillating pushes, while R2_C activates when both ADS and Primary Fire are held, applying stronger values. When the right stick is moved beyond ±33, both combos stop, ensuring manual aim always overrides the script.
What Is Included
- L2_C — ADS aim assist: 4-step right stick oscillation (RY -25 up, RX ±25, RY +15 down) at 11ms per step, active while L2 held without R2
- R2_C — ADS + Fire aim assist: stronger 4-step oscillation (RY -35 up, RX ±35, RY +25 down) at 11ms per step, active while L2 + R2 held simultaneously
- Automatic mode switching — R2_C replaces L2_C when firing begins; L2_C resumes when fire is released
- Stick movement override — both combos stop when right stick exceeds ±33 on either axis
How Aim Assist Works
When L2 is held, the L2_C combo runs continuously, cycling the right stick through a 4-step pattern: up (-25 RY), right (+25 RX, +15 RY), down again (+15 RY), left (-25 RX, +15 RY). When R2 is also pressed while L2 is held, the script stops L2_C and starts R2_C, which runs the same shaped pattern at higher values (-35/+35 RX, -35/+25 RY). The moment the right stick is pushed beyond ±33 on either axis, both combos stop — deliberate aiming always takes full control.

Compatibility Notes
This script uses hardcoded PS4 button defines and is designed for PS4 only. Button layout assumes standard Overwatch 2 PS4 controls: L2 = ADS / Secondary Fire, R2 = Primary Fire. No OLED, LED, or PVAR — settings reset on every script load. All values must be edited in the script before loading.
Setup Guide
- Update Cronus Zen firmware and open Zen Studio.
- Open the script in Zen Studio and adjust values if needed (delay, RX/RY strengths, stop threshold).
- Compile and load the script into a Zen slot.
- Connect your PS4 controller and confirm the active slot.
- Launch Overwatch 2 — aim assist activates automatically when L2 is held.
Best Settings for Overwatch 2
Defaults: stop threshold ±33, delay 11ms, L2_C RY -25/+15 / RX ±25, R2_C RY -35/+25 / RX ±35. Start with defaults. If the script stops too easily when you aim, increase the value variable. If the pull feels too aggressive, reduce the RX/RY values in whichever combo (L2_C or R2_C) is too strong.
Tuning Guide
| Feature | When To Adjust | Expected Effect |
|---|---|---|
| value (stop threshold, default 33) | When combos stop too easily during manual aim | Widens the stick movement gate before combos cut out |
| delay (default 11ms) | When oscillation feels too fast or slow | Changes step timing for both combos simultaneously |
| L2_C RY values (-25 / +15) | When ADS-only assist feels too strong or weak | Adjusts up/down pull magnitude in ADS mode |
| L2_C RX values (±25) | When ADS-only assist pulls too far left or right | Adjusts horizontal oscillation in ADS mode |
| R2_C RY values (-35 / +25) | When ADS+fire assist recoil feel is off | Adjusts up/down pull magnitude while firing |
| R2_C RX values (±35) | When ADS+fire assist pulls too far horizontally | Adjusts horizontal oscillation while firing |
Tips for Best Results
- Hold L2 alone to activate the ADS aim assist — it runs automatically with no extra input.
- Hold L2 and R2 together to switch to the stronger firing aim assist automatically.
- Moving the right stick beyond ±33 overrides and stops both combos — intentional aiming always takes priority.
- Edit the value variable (default 33) in the script to widen or narrow the stick movement override threshold.
- Edit the delay variable (default 11ms) to change the oscillation speed of both combos.
- Edit the RX/RY values in L2_C and R2_C to tune the pull strength for each mode.
Troubleshooting
Aim assist not activating
Confirm L2 (ADS) is being held — the script requires L2 to activate either combo
Aim assist stopping immediately
The stop threshold is ±33 — your right stick may be drifting; try increasing value in the script
Aim assist too weak while firing
Increase the RX/RY values in the R2_C combo in the script
Aim assist too strong
Lower the RX/RY values in L2_C or R2_C, or increase the stop threshold

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this work on PS5?
The script uses PS4 button defines — it will function on PS5 via PS4 controller, but is not specifically coded for PS5
Can I use this on Xbox?
No — the script uses PS4_ defines only
Does it save settings?
No — there is no PVAR save; all settings reset on each script load
Can I toggle features on/off during play?
No — there are no in-game toggles; all settings are fixed at load time
What happens when I move the right stick?
Both combos stop immediately when either stick axis exceeds ±33 — your manual aim takes full control
